Congratulations to the winners of this year's Graduate Associate Teaching Award. These teachers are among the best at Ohio State, and it has been an energizing two weeks as I went from classroom to classroom to make the surprise announcements.

Patrick S. Osmer is vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the Graduate School at Ohio State. He is currently serving as past chair of the board of directors for the Council of Graduate Schools. Osmer was chair of the Ohio State astronomy department from 1993-2006.
