The Ohio State University requires that all units appointing Graduate Associates must provide all GAs with clear, complete, and written information about the terms and conditions of their appointments. All appointing units must use the Standard GA Appointment Document template.
This template has been designed to accompany, follow, or replace letters issued by academic and administrative appointing units. However, individualized offer letters are an especially important part of the academic recruitment process. While offer letters should be revised to refer to the appointment document, offer letters should continue to reflect the particular culture and values of the appointing unit.
